Knoxville Airport Hilton Expands Convention Facilities

ALCOA, Tenn. -- The Knoxville Airport Hilton has expanded its convention facilities, making it one of the largest meeting centers in East Tennessee.
"We did this in direct response to a definite need in the Knoxville area for this kind of facility," said Bryan Cable, general manager for the Knoxville Airport Hilton. "With our renovations, we more than doubled our ballroom space, and completely upgraded our conference center corridors, kitchen and restrooms. We have also added a lot of extras, such as chandeliers and a more advanced audio/video system."
The Hilton will have the capacity to host 1,000 for receptions and 650 for banquets or in theater style. Ballroom space will increase to close to 7,000 square feet. The hotel is now accepting event bookings.
The Knoxville Airport Hilton is adjacent to McGhee Tyson Airport, in Alcoa, Tenn. The hotel has 241 guests rooms and 17 other meeting rooms. Hotel services include a complimentary hotel shuttle, fitness room, indoor pool and two phone lines with dataport in each room. The Airport HiltonŐs group tour executives are happy to assist guests with internal and external activities, possibilities range from a Mountain Challenge employee moral building course to hayrides or horseback riding through the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The Airport Hilton is within 30-45 minutes to Knoxville, Oak Ridge and Gatlinburg, Tenn.
