Live Music: Richie Owens Acoustic Trio, Feat. Bob Ocker & Joe Sharp

Richie Owens, first-cousin of Dolly Parton, is a fifth-generation Smoky Mountains musician whose career spans decades of innovation in country, bluegrass, punk, and alternative rock. Born in 1960 in East Tennessee, his family’s musical legacy runs deep — from his great-great-great-grandfather, Henry Grooms, a real-life figure in Cold Mountain, to his grandfather, the Rev. Jake Owens, a preacher, songwriter, music teacher, and old-time fiddler. His father, Louis Owens, was a singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and DIY country entrepreneur who helped launch the career of his niece, Dolly.

Enjoy the show from our covered outdoor amphitheater, where all 400 seats offer an excellent view of the stage. A concession stand is conveniently located at the top of the amphitheater, offering snacks, drinks, and beer for purchase.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. through the Museum’s front entrance. Guests wishing to purchase beer must present a valid government-issued photo ID. Please note that outside food, beverages, and personal chairs are not permitted. Two designated accessible seating areas are available for guests with mobility needs.
