Cades Cove

Cades Cove

Discover Historic Cades Cove

Cades Cove is a wonder of local beauty, wildlife, history, and heritage. This historic valley in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was where settlers began building homes, churches, and workshops, some of which still stand today. As you go around this 11-mile loop, you can stop at multiple points and explore trails and remaining log cabins, churches, and more. There’s a visitor center and restroom midway through. Use our Cades Cove app to explore the area and determine where you want to stop!

The slow pace makes it easy to enjoy the mountain landscapes, wildflower meadows and diverse wildlife. When traveling the scenic loop road, plan to get out and visit the restored buildings, the Visitor Center, and the ample photo spots.
